The Echo line  of furniture from Forest City Fabricators is comprised of laterally stacked, CNC-cut plywood profiles. I worked with Forest City’s John Arthur to design the newest additions to the line, the Lounge and Rock chairs.

Analysis of the structural forces at play in each chair allowed me to judiciously cut voids from the interior of each chair’s profile, making the chairs 35% lighter without sacrificing rigidity, strength or durability.
